John F. Seiberling (1918-2008) was an American politician and attorney who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1971 to 1987. He was a Democrat from Ohio's 14th district, which included Akron and parts of northeastern Ohio.

Seiberling was known for his environmental advocacy and was instrumental in the establishment of several national parks, including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. He was also a strong supporter of civil rights and social justice issues throughout his career.

After leaving Congress, Seiberling became involved in numerous environmental and community organizations, including the Sierra Club and the National Parks and Conservation Association. He continued to advocate for environmental protection until his death in 2008.
